Service policy
- To qualify for warranty service, the customer must present a valid warranty card and original purchase invoice. Warranty services will be subject to the warranty terms and conditions stated in the warranty card.
- MEC provides a “30-day service labor warranty” from the date of delivery for the same complaint.
- After customer approval to repair out of warranty, 100% of the quotation charges must be paid in advance before starting the repair. Parts used in the repair will not be refundable if the customer withdraws the device without repair. The device will be returned to the customer with the parts used after the paid parts amount.
- The inspection fees collected from the customer in advance do not include the repair charges and parts, and they are non-refundable, in case the repair has not been completed for any reason.
- The estimate provided is preliminary, and an additional 15% variation will be permitted without requiring further approval from the customer. Please note that the estimate is only valid for one week.
- Parts used in the repair will not be refundable if the customer withdraws the device without repair. The device will be returned to the customer with the parts used after the paid parts amount.
- Delivery of the set will be made only to the person who presents the original service order. MEC will not be responsible for any loss or damage in the case the person who presents the original service order happens to be an unauthorized person. In case of loss of the original service order, delivery can only be made provided the owner/claimant fulfills the legal formalities.
- Delivery should be taken within 30 days from the date of repair, estimate rejection, or job completion. If that set remains uncollected for 30 days, it will be disposed of suitably by MEC without any reference to the customer. After this, the customer will have no claim whatsoever on MEC.
- Accessories received with the set are recorded in the service order. No claims of unrecorded accessories will be entertained during delivery.
- MEC is not responsible for any Personal Data / Information / Software loss in the customer’s device. Customers are advised to take proper backups for their Data/software before giving their device for repair.
- Device with modifications, if taken repair, may be returned in the original condition due to repair.
- The period required in the device (TAT) is within a period of 14 Days. However, MEC will not be held responsible for any delay in the repairs due to:
- Waiting to obtain PINs or passwords for the locked device from the customer
- Waiting for approval from the customer, waiting for obtaining payment related to out-of-warranty service.
- Waiting for obtaining accessories or peripherals that are needed for additional diagnosing such as power adapters, batteries, or power cables.
- Waiting for obtaining original proof of purchase “Invoice”.
- In case of loss or damage of customer sets, during our custody, MEC will compensate the customer after depreciation, as per conditions of the set at the time of receipt.
- Warranty is provided by replacing defective spare parts in case of factory defect and not necessarily by replacing the device or refunding its value.
- Failures resulting from the following scenarios are excluded from warranty service:
- Misuse of the device or neglecting the periodic maintenance or not following the usage
- instructions in the device manual or the instructions given.
- Breakage or physical damage as well as exposing the device to external elements such as
- liquids humidity or extreme temperatures or failures caused by power supply
- Unauthorized repair attempts that result in product damage or If the serial number sticker
- is removed or altered.
- If the model of the device is non-SASO certified and not identical to the devices that are
- imported and distributed by MEC.
- Using the product for any commercial use or using the product other than home usage.
- Customer may receive a loan unit or compensation (1/400) of the value of the device in case there is a delay in sourcing the spare parts caused by the delay in repair within the agreed period.
- Customers are eligible for a replacement after paying the fair usage price or refund after deducting the fair usage price in the case that is qualified under the rule’s regulations and laws of the Ministry of Commerce of Saudi Arabia. “usage price based on the accounting standards applied in Saudi Arabia”
- MEC has the right to use customer information as a communication method.
- If certain components of the product, like the motor or compressor, are granted an extended warranty period, service fees and Freon fluid, if applicable, are not covered beyond the second year from the date of purchase.
- The product’s lifetime is:
- 5 Years for major home appliances from the purchase date.
- 3 years for floor care products from the purchase date.
- 2 years for small domestic appliances from the purchase date.
Spare Parts Policy
- Customers can purchase spare parts by visiting the nearest service center or calling the hotline number (8001207669) to find out the locations of the service centers.
- The company accepts returns or replacements of spare parts within 3 days from the date of the invoice, provided they are in their original condition and have not been used or destroyed by the customer. The parts will be examined by the technical authority in the service center.
- When requesting the return or replacement of any spare part, the customer must present the original invoice along with the spare part.
- The customer cannot replace, return, or receive a refund for the value of electronic or electrical spare parts.
- The customer cannot replace or return specially imported items, or any special orders submitted by customers.
- If a spare part is requested from the service center and is not available, the customer can request a delivery service for the spare part once it becomes available, with additional fees.
- The delivery service for spare parts takes between two to seven working days from the date of availability, provided that the customer specifies the product model and spare part code, or provides a sample or copy of it. Please note that the delivery service does not include the return of purchased parts to the company after delivery.
